I’ve been writing poetry for most of my life. I love the play of language and the way a well used line break or change of structure can help the simplest of words capture how I feel about the things that mean the most.

As I’ve studied and developed my craft, I’ve gathered an array of skills that help me conjure images and emotions in a way that tells a story in with just a few carefully chosen words.

Published work

I’m the author of two books of poetry, with another on the way, and have work published in numerous journals, magazines and anthologies. I’m passionate about my craft and proud that each bespoke poem I write is unique, and created to celebrate love in all its forms.

I’m an experienced poet who understands the power and joy of language. I love people and love the fact my words can help make a special day even more memorable.

• I only accept a handful of commissions each month so I can devote my time and attention to your poem and print.You can be confident your work is original and unique.

• I don’t price by the line. A poem usually finds its own way and I really don’t like the idea of cutting it short because someone hasn’t paid enough.

• The price for a bespoke poem or poetry print includes consultation, writing and delivery.

• I offer the option of have a recorded reading of your poem to help you practice for reading on the day. There is a small charge for this of £4.00.

• Whilst my bespoke poetry is generally written in free verse I do offer the option of a more formal style, such as a villanelle of sonnet. These are priced on an individual basis and I’m happy to give you a quote for anything you have in mind.

• Each poem is made to order – no stock poetry is used and I do not duplicate poems.

• Your bespoke wedding poem can be bought as a beautiful, individually designed print, or as a simple digital download.
